Help a friend in need ( even if they are not a member of your church)

If you have the money, do not withhold your help. God sees everything you do and you will answer the consequences! And do not delay the salary of your helper if you already have the money to pay.

Matthew 12:10-12 talks about how the Pharisees were more concerned with human laws than being compassionate. They let their rules override the importance of helping others. They became upset with Jesus for healing someone on the Sabbath. Helping your brother in his time of need is more important than adhering to religious dogma. Luke 13:15-16 tells us that we should also not be hypocrites. You cannot pick and choose when you will help your brother. When God places the needy before us, we are obligated to help them.

In Acts 2:44-45 The family the Bible says, "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." The family of God works better when its members work together. We should strive to help one another in our churches, as well as in our communities.

In a letter to the Christians in Corinth, the Apostle Paul discusses the importance of helping without judgment. God is the only judge. 1 Corinthians 4:5 says, "It is the Lord who judges me." We do not have the option of refusing our brother help based on our own judgment of his or her character.

With the above quote from the Bible, I would lke to advise you that every Christian who profess to be a Christian must help a person in need ( I mean if the person is not a member of your congregation): whether he needs help with his rent, food, car repair, or to pay utilities etc, Do not turn away from helping a fellow brother/sister because if you do not help him or her and you have money,(of course he/she does not know that, he/she will just ask help from you) God sees that and you will suffer the consequences if you turn away from helping him or her.

According to our Presiding Minister in the Church of God international,Bro. Eli Soriano, we will achieve holiness more so if we help anyone in need, whether they are your brethren or not, we must help in any way we can.
